As from 01 June 2012, the landing fee for all aircraft will be the same flat fee of £10.00 inc. VAT, (£8.33 plus VAT).

This is because any aircraft using the airfield has virtually the same impact on airfield resources, regardless of type and purpose of visit. This means that a twin fixed wing or helicopter on a commercial flight will pay the same as a PPL microlight, because they are using the same facilities.

We realise that this policy will result in a price increase for microlight users, but we must point out that the landing fee for microlights has not increased since at least 2001, and in fact, when the running of the airfield was taken over by Blanefield, the landing fee was reduced to £4.17 to retain the £5.00 charge once the VAT of 83p which we were required to charge, was added.

Aircraft based and resident at Old Sarum will see no increase in their landing fees due to this change and the fees for landing cards are not increasing either.
