Places to fly to: Old Buckenham
RAF Old Buckenham is a former World War II airfield, home of the 453 Liberator Sqn. The field is located 2 miles (3.2 km) SE of Attleborough in Norfolk.
As many of you may know Old Buckenham Airfield has very recently changed its management team and is very keen to let you, and the rest of the GA community, know of their efforts to increase visitors to ensure its future. There are a number of events being held at the airfield throughout the year 2011/2012 (some details of these are on their website) at which all landings are free!
Well worth a visit and a good distance to give those flying and navigation skills a little work out.
Don't forget to have something to eat and drink at Old Sarum before you go on this mission, and we'll be ready to top you up with a mug of tea and a snack when you get back!
