On 28th April 2011 a Gyrocopter based at Old Sarum Airfield was involved in incident whilst in the circuit at Old Sarum. No other aircraft were involved. Regrettably the incident resulted in 1 person being fatally injured.

Airfield fire and rescue crew were in attendance within a few minutes as were the Wiltshire Fire, Police and Ambulance services.

The incident is now subject to AAIB and Police investigation as such we can make no further comment at this time.
