We are sad to report that Martin Bromage who was featured in January's edition of LOOP (page 56) has died only 3 hours in to his epic 12,000 mile 6 week journey to Sydney Australia in a Quik microlight, a flex wing.

Martin was hoping to raise £150,000 for the Help for Heroes charity.

It has been reported Martin came down in the English Channel after making a series of distress calls in low cloud and mist.

Martin was due to land at the French coastal airport of Le Touquet at around 3pm but was forced to divert by bad weather and requested from French air traffic an alternative place to land. It was during this diversion the accident happened.
