17 OCTOBER 2017
Evening lecture at the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection (BDAC).
60 Years of the U2 by Chris Pocock.
When the first U2 took off in 1955, no-one involved in the top-secret project dreamed that this unique reconnaissance aircraft would still be flying today. From overflying the Soviet Union, the Cuba Missile Crisis, and most recently over Afghanistan and Iraq. Chris was the first foreign civilian to fly in the U2.
18:30 for 19:00 in the BDAC conference room at Old Sarum Airfield.
