Visiting Advice
We warmly welcome all aviation enthusiasts individually or in a group from clubs to schools.
Prior to your visit we would draw your attention to the following safety advice:
- Airfields are dangerous places.
- The airfield is licenced by the CAA and under the Air Navigation Order (ANO) it is a criminal offence for anyone to enter any active area of the airfield without first obtaining the permission of the airfield manager.
- If you wish to enter 'air side' or the hangars please pop up to the Tower, we can then organise someone from the ground staff who will be able to answer your questions or help with history and other interesting information.
- Yellow florescent jackets must be worn in the aircraft movement area at all times.
- Children must be fully supervised at all times.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Large groups are easily catered for however you are advised to contact us in advance, which will help us make your visit more enjoyable.
Old Sarum supports the efforts of the Police and other Authorities in protecting airports and airfields from criminal activity. If you see anything suspicious do not hesitate to call the Anti-Terrorist Hotline 0800 789321, alert the airfield staff or a Police Officer.
