What a weekend!Old Sarum Airfield and Flyng School celebrate a fantastic birthday success. Both days of the weekend were very busy with a large number of visitors, some parachuting others flying in and even more taking part in the navigation, flour bombing and spot landing competitions. Competition winners have now been added! Invitation from the RAF
Air Traffic Control RAF Odiham and TAG Aviation Farnborough are hosting a General Aviation Air Safety Day at RAF Odiham on Wednesday 16 September 2009. The day will consist of presentations from an Odiham and Farnborough air traffic controller, a Lasham Gliding Instructor and a Police Helicopter pilot newly based at Odiham. The presentations will focus on flying procedures specific to military aircraft and business jets and how air traffic controllers manage the local airspace to enable everyone to fly safely whilst achieving their objectives. The event will hopefully be of great value to all local airspace users and there should be plenty of opportunity for discussions to take place after the main presentations. Why we flyMore interesting and funny video clips are available to registered users. This video is of a C42 Microlight 2 seater aircraft, flown by Airsport UK and used for NPPL training from Old Sarum Airfield. The C42 is a very popular aircraft for pilots to own or buy a share in after they qualify as it is cheap to fly. There are 7 based at Old Sarum.
